Sedum Ground Cover Matting

Sedum Ground Mat Kit is a mix of 7 drought-loving plants. These plants are integrated into a reinforced biodegradable coir blanket. The sedum species selected have been chosen to provide varied colour and texture throughout the seasons.

Sedum Ground Mat kit is ideal for ground cover especially on sloped areas, providing stability, low maintenance and colour to otherwise challenging, hard to reach areas. The kit also contains Plantex® by DuPont Weed control fabric to ensure evasive weeds are kept at bay. Plantex® was the first product to be endorsed by Kew Gardens and has a proven 30 year history. Sedum Ground Mat Kit will contain mature plants with at least 90% coverage and enough substrate to maintain the plants during establishment.

Our sedum ground mat kits are great for a sunny spot and are especially useful where the soil is very dry – or even non-existent. This means that you can create a luscious and beautiful area of foliage almost anywhere, bringing that space to life. As the mats are delivered with at least 90% plant coverage, you can rest assured that the finished project will look outstanding. All you need to do is unroll them onto a prepared surface and give them a good watering until established.

RHS Plants for Pollinators - contains plant species that support pollinating insects.

A mixture of mature plants that allows you to establish dense planting very quickly - more reliable than seeding and less time consuming than plug planting.

Biodiverse and pollinator friendly providing a valuable source of nectar and food for many species of insects and birds.

Contains perennial species that are frost hardy down to -20°C.

Environmentally-friendly requiring no pesticides.

Drought tolerant – only requiring occasional watering during long spells of dry weather.

Very low maintenance – does not require regular mowing.

Prefers a neutral to slightly alkaline pH but can also tolerate acidic soils.

Please Note: Must not be installed directly into water or areas of water-logging. Sedum plants cannot survive in waterlogged conditions.

Delivery Info

As Meadowmat is hand harvested, we can not deliver next day. The soonest we can deliver meadowmat would be three working days after ordering.

We deliver meadowmat Tuesday to Friday as standard and Saturday (Saturday AM delivery must be selected in the checkout), orders can be delivered next day if placed before 1pm Monday to Friday.

Deliveries are made on pallets, on curtain sided lorries with a tail lift and pallet trolley. See our delivery details page for more information on our delivery service.
